Destiny 2 Black Armory DLC Release Date May Have Just Been Confirmed
Earlier this week Activision revealed that the first major expansion for Destiny 2, Forsaken, had failed to meet their sales expectations, despite an extremely positive response from the community. Due to this, Activision claims it has plans to release more content and microtransactions, though it’s unclear for quickly these changes will come into effect. One thing that might have just been made a little clearer however, is the release date for the Black Armory DLC.
Okay, so while Bungie may not have outright confirmed the exact date this Black Armory DLC would drop, they’ve just given us a clue as to when to expect it. According to the developer Season 4 of Destiny 2 will conclude in just over two weeks time, on November 27th. This is turn has lead many to wonder whether the Black Armory release date would be that very same day, just after the weekly reset. Season 4: Season of the Outlaw would be over, with Season 5: Season of the Forge set to begin.
Despite this, Bungie’s DLC roadmap has this Black Armory DLC listed for December, making it seem more likely that the launch of Season 5 and the additional DLC content will not release on the same day. In fact, with this Season 4 end date and the roadmap information together, the launch date for Black Armory seems to point to one week after the conclusion of Season 4: December 4th.
Though some have assumed this would be the release date, it will be interesting to see if Bungie confirms this soon, after all they did seem to drop the big hint that lead the community to this conclusion. Do you agree with this conclusion thanks in part to Bungie’s little clue or do you have a different date in mind?
