DICE Says They Have No Plans for Battlefield V War Story DLC Content past December

Battlefield V Will Receive Last War Story DLC in December

Though Battlefield V is set to have a hefty multiplayer offering with traditional online play and the addition of its Battle Royale mode, DICE isn’t leaving those who love the single player game mode high and dry. Battlefield V is bringing back the War Stories for everyone to enjoy, though as they’ve recently announced, players shouldn’t expect any more of these by way of DLC past December.

In a recent Reddit post Dan Mitre, DICE global community manager confirmed this. He stated that the fourth War Story titled The Last Tiger, which comes to the game as part of the DLC release in December, will be the last. “After The Last Tiger is released in December, there is currently no plan to add additional War Stories through Tides of War.” Of course while there’s currently no plans to add these, this could change in the future, especially if are quite popular with fans, which thus far the interest in them has been quite high. As it stands however the team at DICE is set on making their multiplayer content their focus.

Even without any more additional War Stories, the four that will be available are said to take between one to two hours each to complete and will feature more than those featured in Battlefield 1, so there’s still a sizable amount of fun to be had here. “As always, it depends on the player, but we think you’ll get anywhere from 1-2 hours in each. Generally speaking, these are meatier than the War Stories in Battlefield 1.”

Battlefield V will release on November 20th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via EA Origin. It was also recently announced there will be special gifts waiting for those who log into the game within the first week as a thank you from DICE for waiting out the one month delay until its release.
