Has It Already Been Ten Years?
GOG is celebrating their tenth anniversary! In order to honor the occasion properly, gog.com is holding a game giveaway. There are three candidates, and voting is taking place to determine which one will win. In fact, there’s still another day and a half to vote!
The three choices are Shadow Warrior 2, Firewatch, and Superhot. The three games represent a good chunk of the variety on display at GOG. Voting will run until October 4th. After that, all you have to do is claim whatever game they crown the victor. Honestly, any one of these choices would be an excellent investment of your time. I played through Superhot myself, and that’s a great way to spend an afternoon.
GOG has spent the last decade offering a proper alternative to the Steam behemoth. Without them, where would people go when looking for DRM-free digital copies of crazy old games? Aside from piracy, which is both illegal and terribly messy. Here’s to ten more years of GOG and their massive library of cool old PC games.
