More Fuel For The Hype Fire
Here on Canadian Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for many things. Mostly for being Canadian. But also for videogames wherein talking animals can wage savage tactical war in a post-apocalyptic landscape. Funcom dropped a whole bunch of new footage in our laps just in time for the weekend.
We’ve covered Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden before, but this is still an excellent opportunity to take in an extended chunk of gameplay. There’s even developer commentary along with it, if you’re looking for a bit of extra insight on what’s happening. I for one am looking forward to fighting alongside a squad of mutants, especially after watching this video.
One thing I wasn’t anticipating was the level of stealth involved. This is a welcome surprise, however. A major part of tactical combat is choosing when to fight in the first place. Especially in an environment like this one, where the battlefield is more or less everywhere. It’s a level of tension that greatly enhances the whole experience. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is set for release on PS4, Xbox One and the PC on December 4th, 2018. You can check out the whole gameplay video embedded below.
