New Final Fantasy IX Brings Arts Figures On the Way
Square Enix just announced new Final Fantasy IX action figures for their Bring Arts line at the 2018 New York Comic Con. The new additions are Eiko Carol, Amarant Coral, Quina Quen, and Kuja. As of now, the line has Zidane, Garnet, Vivi, Steiner, Freya, and Beatrix.
Final Fantasy IX first hit the PlayStation in Japan on July 2000, North America in November 2000, and Europe in February 2001.
An old interview touched on the game’s Active Time Event system, which gives players a look into what different characters are experiencing at various points in the game at other regions in the game world.
“When we were creating FFIX, there were two things that we kept in mind. Number one, to make sure that we made a story that was easy to understand,” said Norimichi Kurosawa, who was the game’s animation manager. “And two, to create some specific personalities for the characters and sub characters and these were the two points we kept in mind when creating the Active Time Event system. With this, it is possible to understand what the sub characters have gone through, making the story and personalities of the characters more easily to relate to.”
