Fallout 76 Could Have ‘Unforeseen Bugs and Issues’ When It Releases Next Month
In a lengthy statement released on Monday, Bethesda warned gamers who are anticipating Fallout 76 that, due to its massive scale, “unforeseen bugs and issues always come up”, whether that be during the game’s closed-beta or after its launch on November 14th.
Notably, the statement was released a day before the closed-beta is scheduled to start for Xbox One users on October 23rd. For PS4 & PC users, the beta begins on the 30th.
“Given what we’re doing with [Fallout] 76, we know we’re opening everyone to all new spectacular issues none of us have encountered,” part of their statement read. “Some we’re aware of, such as areas where performance needs to improve with lots of players. Others, we surely don’t.”
“We need your help finding them, and advice on what’s important to fix. We’ll address all of it, now and after launch,” the statement also read.
While Bethesda’s statement is something of a surprise, the expected bugginess of their open-world RPG games is not. Their open-world titles were notorious for having lots of bugs at launch so the possibility of Fallout 76 launching with many significant issues was already assumed.
