Black Clover Anime Has A Game Adaptation Out Now

You Know, That Shonen Story With The Extra Screamy Protagonist

Bandai Namco has an eminent talent for games based on shonen anime properties. If there’s a show out there that features muscled-up dudes beating each other into paste, best believe Bandai Namco is working on the adaptation. To that end, Black Clover: Quartet Knights is out today on PS4 and PC!

Black Clover: Quartet Knights

Black Clover is all about magic and screaming. I tried my absolute hardest to watch the anime, but the protagonist has exactly one volume setting for all his emotions and encounters. Maybe the English dub sounds less like two rusty shovels making a sex tape?

The actual game involves teams of four fighters using magic to tear each other apart. Like Asta (the shrieky main character), everyone is loaded with high-volume fighting spirit, though nobody can match his painful intensity. You can either jump straight into the magic battles or play through the story. It’s a shame, the rest of the cast looks like a lot of fun. It’s almost enough to get me watching the anime again, perhaps with the volume all the way down. Black Clover: Quartet Knights is out right this second for PS4 and PC.
