Yet Another Yakuza PC Port Could Be In The Works
According to a SEGA fiscal report, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is getting ported to the PC and this unannounced port will launch in Q1 2019. The game has been a PS4 exclusive for years now but with June’s announcement of PC ports for Yakuza 0 & Yakuza Kiwami, it appears that SEGA is willing to develop PC ports for the series.
With Yakuza 6’s solid sales on PS4 and the positive reception the Yakuza 0 port has received, it’d make sense for SEGA to port the sixth game to PC as well. Last month, it was revealed that the game had sold an estimated 900,000 copies in Japan, America, Asia and Europe combined.
If you’re interested in buying Yakuza 6 right now then you should read our review of it beforehand. “Yakuza 6’s sole focus on Kiryu, fewer extras, and its lack of new locations might make it feel smaller in scope, but what it does bring is once again thoroughly enjoyable,” our reviewer wrote. “This may be the Dragon of Dojima’s last kick at the franchise, but he leaves on a high note that will satisfy the yakuza in all of us.”
