‘Spider-Man’ Could Be 20 Hours Long Even Without Doing Sidequests

That’s A Lotta Spidey!

Insomniac’s Spider-Man is launching next Friday on September 7th and PS4 players should expect a pretty long singleplayer campaign, according to Insomniac Community Director James Stevenson.

When asked on Sunday about how long Spider-Man was, Stevenson replied on Twitter that the “average play tester took around 20 hours on default difficulty” but some testers had a longer playthrough “if they did a ton of side quests/activities”.

Stevenson also tweeted that the base install size for the upcoming Spidey game will be 45 gigs minimum and confirmed that there will be accessibility options in a day one patch for Spider-Man.

If you’re interested in the webhead’s upcoming game then go ahead and give our recent preview of the game a read. The preview had a lot of praise for the game’s web-swinging mechanics: “I mean it with the utmost praise when I say the fluidity [of the web-swinging] nears a point of absurdity. Shooting webs and swinging through the city feels incredibly smooth, and Spidey reacts perfectly to your every move.”

We also recently published an article that ranked every Spidey game from worst to first.
