Permission to Get Hyped, Sir?
Gamescom has descended upon like us like a wrathful-yet-benevolent deity, and with it comes a storm of game news! Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice now has a release date, a collector’s edition and a Steam page. We only have to wait until March 22nd, 2019 for From Software’s next masterpiece.
Okay, that’s not fair. There’s no guarantee that Sekiro, the latest game from the studio that brought us Dark Souls, Demon Souls and Bloodborne, will be all that amazing. The odds seem pretty good though. The Steam page comes with a short synopsis and a host of screenshots. Among the limited tidbits is the nickname “one-armed wolf.” I’m a little ashamed I missed that detail before, as it makes the whole grappling hook mechanic make perfect sense.
The collector’s edition (courtesy of IGN) also looks just fabulous. Fans who get their hands on this pricier version will nab an art book, a parchment map, a ninja statue, a steelbook case and some replica coins. Pre-orders for the collector’s edition haven’t gone live at the time this is being written, but it’s likely we’ll see it before the end of the day. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is coming next March to the PS4, PC and the Xbox One.
