Treyarch Says New Content Is Coming to Next Week’s Beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4
Though the first week for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta may be over, there’s another one coming in just a few short days. The next beta begins this coming Friday and Treyarch has teased that it will have a bunch of new content, including a ‘secret new mode’.
During this past weekend Treyarch has shared updates on the game’s subreddit about what was changing, as well as acknowledging player feedback. “You’ve played the living hell out of this game over the weekend, and you’ve provided an incredible amount feedback – the entire team at Treyarch sends its thanks.” In addition to discussing all of the updates that are coming to the beta, Treyarch also shared that there will be some brand new content incoming, including a ‘secret new mode’ and a whole lot more. “Just because Week 1 is coming to a close doesn’t mean we’re shutting things down … we’ll be back with a second week of Beta action starting this Friday (PS4/XB1/PC), which will feature a few new items that you’ll want to jump in to see. We probably shouldn’t reference the new map that you saw in the beta trailer, secret new mode that has been kept under tight wraps, new XP events, and/or new level caps that you’ll see next week, so we definitely won’t do that.”
At this point it’s unclear which game mode could be incoming, as there are a few exciting features many fans are looking forward to including the new Zombies experience, as well as the Blackout Battle Royale game mode. Since zombies has never made its way into a beta before, and Blackout is set to have its own beta next month, it’s more likely this will be a new type of multiplayer mode. As we’ve already seen Control in action, it will be interesting to see what Treyarch has up their sleeve here.
