AKA Disgaea’s Best Girl Mode
The latest trailer for Disgaea 1 Complete shines a light on Etna mode, the alternate game mode wherein you play as Etna. To be more accurate, we see the intro, which is just Laharl getting murdered in his bed. I forgot how warm and fuzzy the Netherworld is.
Disgaea 1 Complete is a shined-up remaster of the very first Disgaea game coming to modern consoles. As the name implies, this version of the game with coming with all of the extra content you could ever hope for. Etna Mode was originally released with the PSP version back when Sony still made portable systems.
Aside from Etna mode and a graphical overhaul, I wasn’t able to find out exactly what else is going to be in this version of the game. Although more or less every previous Disgaea release came with a host of character-based DLC. This would be a great opportunity to get some newer, cooler characters in the very first Disgaea game. Both the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch version of Disgaea 1 Complete will be out on October 9th, 2018. You can check out the aforementioned trailer below. I’d forgotten how delightful the English voice acting is for this game.
