Replay the Critically Acclaimed Call of Duty Sequel on Xbox One
The masses have clamored, and now, at long last, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is available on this generation of hardware. Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson made the announcement this morning, over on Twitter.
To play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, look no further than the Backward Compatible library. Moreover, as the Major mentioned, the game is on sale this week if you’re an Xbox Gold subscriber. The low price of $14.99 scores you a digital copy of classic run-and-gun shooting and nostalgia. You can find and download the version here. There’s no time like the present to go akimbo, one-knife kill, and noob tube like there’s no tomorrow. Let us not forget the visceral campaign, however.
Call Duty: Modern Warfare 2 received top accolades for its single-player story, a story that some might say had more twists and turns than any installment to date. Once you’re done with that, you can hop into the fast-paced multiplayer. Here’s an Infinity Ward experience from when the developer was at the top of their game. Not to say weapons were perfectly balanced, but, by this point, the team had practically mastered boots-on-the-ground gameplay. It ought to tie you over until the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta arrives.
