3 Million PSVR Units Sold; Skyrim Tops List of Most Played Games

Despite all trepidations surrounding virtual reality, PSVR has successfully enticed a corner of the market. We know because, today, PlayStation is celebrating 3 million sold systems.

To commemorate their PSVR milestone, Sony has announced two games slated for release this year. On September 25, 2018, VR players can look forward to Creed: Rise to Glory. Based on the venerated Rocky film spin-off, the game puts players in the gloves of Adonis Creed as he fights his way from amateur to boxing champion.

For the sci-fi oriented gamer, Sony has unveiled Evasion. In this shooter, you play as one of four unique hero classes tasked with saving an embattled colony. Imagine an experience that shares similarities to Destiny and Gunheart. Pre-orders are now live, and you can pick up the game when it arrives on October 9. 2018.

New games will join the count of 21.9 million software units that have sold since the launch of PSVR. A variety of IPs across genres are available, and PlayStation has provided a list of the most played games. You can find the top 10 down below.

Seven years later, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a top seller on every platform. Next, we have PlayStation VR Worlds, a dynamic experience that lets players explore a variety of settings.
