It Sure Ain’t Easy, Though
If you’ve got aspirations towards competitive PC gaming but only one good hand to work with, it turns out there are solutions for you. A Twitch streamer who goes by apotatomaybetwo has released a very detailed video about playing Overwatch one-handed.
It turns out that such a thing is quite possible, so long as you have a sufficiently-advanced mouse to work with. Anything from Razer or Steelseries that has enough buttons will do. The video goes into step-by-step instructions on how to map your WASD movement to specific buttons on the mouse. It’s a strange adjustment at first, but the end result is the ability to play certain PC games one-handed.
According to the video, you need to switch certain keybindings so your movement and camera operations are both bound to the mouse’s movement, while certain buttons act as joystick controls. This lets you look, move and shoot with the same hand, all in a manner that lets you survive in competitions. Of course, it takes a little time to get used to it, but surely anyone in this kind of position is already well-equipped to handle this kind of control-based adversity.
