There Just Aren’t Enough People Playing Its Multiplayer Anymore
The online multiplayer for 2007’s Crysis is going to be shut down on October 11th, according to a Facebook post made by the game’s official account on Wednesday.
“We don’t have the required number of players to keep up the service and ensure all our players have a great online experience,” the post explained. “We appreciate your support and hope you continue enjoying our single-player campaign.”
Though Crysis later came out on the PS3 & Xbox 360 in 2011, those versions of the game didn’t have multiplayer. Now it appears that the original PC version of the game won’t have multiplayer as well.
Crysis isn’t the only old game to have its multiplayer shut down this year. In February, the online service for 2009’s Demon’s Souls was shuttered as well.
