The Stylized RPG Is Said To Share Some Similarities With Dark Souls
Looks like Code Vein is going to be joining a crowded release month with other big titles such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Spider-Man! The release date for the Souls-like action-RPG was revealed on Monday: September 28th.
Previous reporting had speculated that it would come out in July but, with this official confirmation of a September release, that is clearly not the case anymore.
In Code Vein, players will take control of a customizable avatar called a “Revenant” who is part of a group of Revenants known as “Vein”. In this post-apocalyptic world, the Revenants have to battle monsters known as “the Lost” but they have to be careful to not go overboard in their “bloodlust”. Otherwise, they could end up becoming one of the Lost themselves!
The game’s story focuses on the player’s Revenant finding out about their past and escaping this hellish, post-apocalyptic world.
What do you think of Code Vein so far? Does it seem like an interesting enough game to pick up in September or do the other releases in that month interest you more? Let us know what you think in the comments section below!
Code Vein is scheduled to come out on September 28th for the PC, PS4 & Xbox One.
