Valve’s DOTA 2 Statues Are so Bad They’re Sending Fans Another One

Real-Life Baby Roshan Doesn’t Look Very Intimidating

Valve’s reward for DOTA 2 players reaching level 2000 though last year’s Battle Pass is a physical statue of Baby Roshan, which are finally reaching players. And apparently they’re so bad that Valve has apologized and announced a new version that’s going to be created and sent out in their place.

Here’s the statement they released:

“It has come to our attention that the physical Baby Roshan reward for last year’s Battle Pass has had poor production quality yields. We apologize to our fans for that, it is well below the quality we expected. We are going to start from scratch on new production for the statue, and prioritize delivering it as soon as possible to every customer that reached level 2000 last year.”

Many fans took to Reddit to voice their disappointment.

“The seams where they attached the parts are not even hidden, looks like a cheap toy you’d get from a McDonalds meal honestly.”

“This basically got no finishing, which is what’s supposed to hide the seams, sand out the rims and webbed protrusions, and to, you know, make the face not look…stillborn.”

“I’m disappointed in the lack of quality that was put into this statue. For the amount of money/time it takes to grind out to 2k BP Lvl this should have been a much more detailed and whole piece.”

Another user was more understanding:

“Honestly part of me is actually happy they came out looking like this because it’s in the “so bad that it’s good” territory. I can’t wait until mine gets in the mail so I can get a good look at it. The face on it is hilarious.”

Regardless of what you think of the statue, Valve quickly rectified the situation, which definitely looks good on them.
