“Top Secret” Cuphead Content Likely to Be Announced at E3

Can We Expect Some New Cuphead DLC?

Studio MDHR’s Xbox One/PC exclusive, Cuphead, was a breath of fresh air last year, even after its countless delays. Boasting gorgeous hand-drawn graphics and animation, challenging gameplay, and awesome music, it’s no surprise it wowed critics and players alike. Now, it seems that Cuphead will grace E3 once more because it’s likely that something new will be revealed.

Cuphead gets release date

About a week ago, a pop culture collectable company known as Funko revealed that a special Cuphead-themed shirt will be available at E3 next month. According to episode 70 of Funko’s podcast, Funkast, they aren’t able to show off the shirt design because it features something “top secret.” You can listen around the 32-minute mark of the podcast to hear the hosts chat about it.

There is some speculation that the shirt contains a spoiler for what will be announced at E3. Back in November during the Xbox One X launch, Studio MDHR’s Maja Moldenhauer mentioned that extra content is on its way to Cuphead but didn’t divulge any further details.

Exactly what the new content will entail is anyone’s guess. Will Mugman have his own adventure? Will we see new bosses and characters? How about some new weapons and items? Will this be packaged as paid DLC or given out for free via a game patch? We’re just throwing a few things out there.

If there is an announcement related to Cuphead, it’s safe to assume that it’ll make an appearance during Microsoft’s press conference on Sunday, June 10th at 1 PM PT/4 PM ET
