The Publisher Is Being Vague on What We Can Expect
Square Enix will be hosting its own press event for E3 2018, the company announced today. This will not be like past showcases, according to the official website.
According to the Square Enix FAQ, the event will be akin to a Nintendo Direct. There will be a showcase of upcoming games alongside announcements for IPs. The livestream video will apparently be “produced in advanced, which means there will be no audience. Viewers can tune in at the following times:
- 10 AM PT
- 1 PM ET
- 6 PM in the UK
- 7 PM in Europe
Anyone can tune in for the livestream on June 11th via Facebook, Mixer, Twitch, Twitter, and YouTube. This will be Square Enix’s first major E3 event since 2015. Afterward, the stream will be available on YouTube.
Square Enix released no specifics on the announcement’s we can expect, other than a message: “We’ll connect you to the many worlds within our universe.” There are many titles whose names we can speculate can be mentioned. Of the games that will likely be released this year, there’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Dragon Quest XI, and Kingdom Hearts 3. In addition, we can reasonably expect Life is Strange 2 to make its reveal. Less likely, but not implausible, we may receive details on The Avengers Project and the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Stay tuned.
