What Does the Fox Drive?
Metroid Prime developer Retro Studios is rumored to be working on a Star Fox racing spin-off.
According to reddit user u/DasVergeben, the game plays like a love child between Diddy Kong Racing and F-Zero, leaning more towards the F-Zero style of racing. The game will be titled “Star Fox Grand Prix,” and will feature boss fights and a hub world to fly around in.
A couple hours after the post went live, a 4chan user posted “all true” with an image of the game’s logo.
Earlier today while reporting the rumor, Eurogamer editor Tom Phillips lent some credence to some of these rumors, saying that Eurogamer sources have heard similar details through the grape vine. Tom continues, “While I hadn’t heard the name…other details line up with what I have heard.”
With E3 only a few weeks away, it sounds like Nintendo’s got quite a bit to show, as rumors and details of different franchises keep leaking from their bursting Warp Hype (see what I did there?).
