We May See the Xbox Logo Alongside Huge 3rd Party Games
Apparently, new sources have confirmed that several huge, upcoming IPs shall fall exclusively within Microsoft’s marketing network. The titles include Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield V, Borderlands 3, the New Splinter Cell, Anthem, and the new Madden.
The report comes straight from Rectify Gaming, who claims to have sources close to Microsoft. Yet the list doesn’t seem to stop with the aforementioned titles. Allegedly, The Division 2 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider will be exclusively marketable for Xbox. The latter is no surprise, considering Rise of the Tomb Raider was only available on Xbox One for a full year before releasing for PS4. However, it’s worth taking every single piece of this news with a grain of salt until official confirmation from Microsoft.
While none of this has been officially confirmed, Rectify Gaming has reliably given leaked info in the past. For example, they were right in relaying the real name of the Xbox One X. Unfortunately, the site was offline at the time of this writing, but their report made its way to ResetEra.

If this report is true, Microsoft’s acquisition of marketing rights for all these titles could lead to a strong push in Xbox One sales. In particular, the Xbox One X may sell very well if all the titles arrive in 4K. However, marketing rights by no means imply that these are exclusive titles. Basically, we should expect to see trailers for these games with the Xbox Logo. Furthermore, it’s understandable that Cyberpunk 2077 would be marketed for the Xbox One. The first CD Projekt RED game that came to consoles was The Witcher 2 back in 2011, and it was only ever available on the Xbox 360 (now Xbox One via Backward Compatibility)
What is most peculiar about this list of games is that a new Splinter Cell hasn’t even been announced yet. But it’s looking more and more like Ubisoft has something in the works. Keep it locked with COGconnected for updates as they arrive.
Happy gaming.
