The Remastered Version, No Less
Talking animals are always improved by the addition of martial arts skills. Legend of Kay is a great example of this. What, you’d rather this story featured some other form of showdown? Very competitive knitting, perhaps? An opportunity to prove my point is on the way, as Legend of Kay Anniversary is coming to the Nintendo Switch this May.
Kay’s story (his legend, if you will) has already been on the PS2, the Nintendo DS, the PC, the Xbox 360, the Wii U and the PS4. If you’ve been holding out all this time for a portable version that doesn’t feel inferior next to its console brethren, now’s the time to jump in! Well. May 29th is the time. But that’s a lot sooner than never, so you’ve got that going for you. Which is nice.
The Anniversary edition builds on the original release with updated character models, better textures, modern rendering techniques and surround sound. There’s also online scoreboards for some reason. Maybe to see how you measure up in all those mini-games compared to players across the world? If you’ve never seen the game in action, you can check out the trailer embedded below.
