And it’s Free to Play, Even
After some time spent telling you over and over about how potentially rad The Darwin Project might be, you finally have the chance to see for yourself! The game is now available on Steam, and as a free to play title, no less! Now’s your chance to see whether I’ve been even a little bit on the mark when it comes to this game.
For those of you not so tuned in to my regularly-scheduled rants about Battle Royales and Canadian winters, The Darwin Project is your usual fight to the death simulation, except it’s set in a harsh winter hellscape. Also the audience is baked right into the mechanics as an influential aspect of gameplay. Finally, even the strangers watching you play can influence your ultimate fate!
After a series of Betas and tests and such, now is the time for one and all to dive in and see what the fuss is about. While this one doesn’t have the prestige (or long list of items) of Fortnite, it appears to have been longer in development than some other Battle Royale games I could name. Check it out on Steam! There’s a trailer embedded below if you need a refresher on the game’s look and feel.
