Assassin’s Creed Origins Plans to Add ‘Animus Control Panel’ for In-Game Tweaking

The New Feature Will Allow Players to Edit the Parameters of Things Such as NPC Behavior

Later this month, Assassin’s Creed Origins will have an in-game editor called the “Animus Control Panel” that’ll allow players to tweak the parameters of things such as NPC behavior and the damage output of the game’s protagonist, Bayek.

Another notable feature about this in-game editor is that it seems like it’ll give players the opportunity to change how Bayek can tame wild animals. The editor also appears to add usable character skins to the game.

Here’s a list of the other features of the editor:

  • 75 parameters within 11 categories
  • Three pre-created presets available
  • Presets created by players can be shared on a dedicated forum
  • The Animus Control Panel is embedded in the Uplay Overlay

Unfortunately, this new feature is only confirmed for the PC version of the game. The news post about the Animus Control Panel had no news about this feature making its way to the console versions of Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Ubisoft stated that there’ll be more information about the Animus Control Panel as the new feature nears release.

Ubisoft has been pretty dedicated to supporting Assassin’s Creed Origins post-launch. Last month, they released their second and final DLC for the game, “Assassin’s Creed Origins: The Curse of the Pharaohs“. We reviewed the DLC and our reviewer, Alexander Thomas, called it a “marvelous DLC that builds upon what makes Assassin’s Creed Origins great and takes it one step further into the realm of the fantastic.”

“The story is unique and interesting, but the characters you encounter feel flat, and having to return to them to ask for information they withheld feels like an excuse to drag out the gameplay,” Thomas wrote. “With gorgeous landscapes and new enemies to encounter, the only real flaws are the occasionally buggy targeting and lackluster supporting characters.”

Assassin’s Creed Origins is out now for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
