The Next Game in the Reboot Trilogy Is Here!
Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the third game in the Tomb Raider reboot trilogy, was officially announced on Thursday. Check out the teaser for the game below!
The full reveal for the game will be on April 27th. Shadow of the Tomb Raider has also been confirmed to be available for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Yesterday, we had an article that speculated that Shadow of the Tomb Raider will talk place in Yucatan, Mexico. This official teaser trailer (which was leaked yesterday) seems to confirm that.
“It makes sense that the next game is going to be set in Mexico since the ending of the previous game, Rise of the Tomb Raider, hinted that Lara was heading to Yucatan (which is in southern Mexico),” the article read. “See the screenshot from the game’s ending below.”
“Of course, it is currently unknown if Shadow of the Tomb Raider is only going to be set in Yucatan,” the article continued. “The previous game took place in both Syria (though only for a tutorial level) and a mountainous region in Siberia so that could mean that this upcoming game could take place in areas that are outside of Yucatan or even Mexico.”
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is said to be the final game in Lara’s origin story. The game is set to come out on September 14th.
