Nintendo Switch Owners Can Experience a New Kind of Indie Game in Light Fall
Platforming and Nintendo have gone hand-in-hand since the inception of the company, which is why it’s worth mentioning another 2D platformer coming to the Nintendo Switch. Light Fall is a game developed by Canadian indie developer Bishop Games, and it delivers an immersive world of fast-paced gameplay.
Light Fall has already been announced for consoles, but today brings our confirmed release window for the hybrid console. Owners of the Nintendo Switch will have the opportunity to experience the game’s innovative mechanics, unique art style, and intriguing storyline on the go. Of course, the ability to play Light Fall handheld just stacks on top of the many of the unique aspects that comprise the gameplay. It’s a game about building your own platformers as you progress through each level, which means you’re platforming on the go while platforming on the go with your Switch. Catch a glimpse of the gameplay below.
Light Fall follows the adventures of a young boy and his quest through Numbra, the land of eternal night, to be reunited with his dearest friend who vanished in the darkness. With the aid of the magical Shadow Core — a unique player-controllable platform — and his companion Stryx the old and grumpy owl, join him on his courageous journey, braving many challenges and foes, led only by a glimmer of a hope.
Light Fall will land on the Nintendo Switch this April. Stay tuned for our in-depth review, and keep it locked for updates on new and interesting indie titles as time goes by. We’ll have more from developers and Nintendo.
Happy gaming.
