Players Are Witnessing All Sorts of Battle Royale Hiccups
Since the implementation of Patch 3.4, Fornite has been experiencing a myriad of server issues. The most prevalent problems seem to involve the back end, however. The folks over at Epic Games are working to resolve return stability, and they’re keeping fans updated via Twitter.
Apparently, changes to the netcode resulted in new problems with stat tracking, matchmaking, login queues, and more. As proof that they’re delivering fixes as they go, Epic Games released Patch 3.41 earlier today. With this update, they’ve fixed crashes, fixed the delay in the pump-action shotgun; additionally, the distance for sniper rifle eliminations is being shown again. But, if you check the status of Fortnite, you may see that problems are ongoing, as they were at the time of this writing:

As early as January, Epic Games has had to operate servers for as many as 45-million players. Since then, the popularity of Fortnite has increased, and the game was even ported over to phones. As you can imagine, the devs have their hands eternally full. That said, many gaming companies undoubtedly wish they were in Epic’s shoes. Fortnite: Battle Royale witnesses constant updates, but time will till if Epic will expand their holdings in the wake of such a massive playerbase the way PUBG Corp did.
