Cowboys And Short Fuses
The Bomberman games carry some serious re-imagining potential. There’s almost no scenario that can’t be improved with copious amounts of high-powered explosives. Case in point: Bombslinger, the wild west bomb/maze/action extravaganza, due for release this April. It’s the classic formula with a fresh twist, like the first shot of whisky at the old saloon.
Although you’d be right in assuming the prevalence of the multiplayer here, there’s also a procedurally-generated single player campaign to dive into. You don’t want to miss the thrilling tale of one man’s quest to avenge the death of his sweetheart at the hands of some murderous scoundrel, do you? I mean, if you do, there’s always the timeless battles of wits and well-placed bombs in the multiplayer section.
Said multiplayer is of course a reckless free-for-all. Remember kids, there’s no ‘team’ in ‘bomb.’ There’s also no ‘I’ in ‘bomb.’ Honestly, the metaphor’s not exactly airtight. Hopeful worshipers at the temple of boom can grab Bombslinger on April 11th for PC, Xbox One or the Nintendo Switch. That’s right! This was another entry in our 3000-part series on Nintendo’s Indie acquisitions all along! For a better look at the action, you can check out the trailer embedded below.
