Will Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Arrive as a Standalone Game?
What could have been a simple love letter to fans turned into a bit of a fiasco when Activision made Modern Warfare Remastered part of a mandatory package with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Therefore, it’s only natural to suspect the same might happen for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remastered. We know it’s coming, but not how. According to a new Amazon listing, however, the game might arrive as its own package.
According to Amazon Italy, a remaster of Modern Warfare 2 is in the works. A new listing of the game provided some details before it was taken down. Thanks to the internet, however, we have a screenshot. Take every image detail with a grain of salt, but according to the information provided, the next remaster will arrive on April 30, 2018. I suspect Activision will make an announcement soon either confirming or denying this release date. Furthermore, the price is set at 20 Euros, a number that seems highly unlikely, but we’ll see.
Initially, Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered was part of the Infinite Warfare: Legacy Edition that cost $80.00. When Activision finally released Modern Warfare Remastered as a standalone title, they sold it at the full retail value of $60. Let’s hope the publisher doesn’t add insult to injury again but cutting out maps and selling them as DLC. While the move outraged fans of the first game, it didn’t stop the publisher from selling millions of copies. There’s a small chance this title will release in tandem with Treyarch’s Black Ops IIII. Stay tuned for official updates.
Happy gaming.
