Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Gets Delayed and a Demo
Back in August, we told you Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, the final chapter of Kazuma Kiryu, had been given a North American release date of March 20th, 2018. It’s been developed from the ground up on the PS4, and thanks to the new “Dragon Engine,” is the most technically advanced game in the popular series. Today; however, we learned that street date has been pushed back.
Originally set to release next month, the game will now grace Western audiences in April. More specifically, the latest installment will be available on April 17th. The unfortunate news came via Twitter from the developers themselves.

There is some good news as a demo for Yakuza 6 will be made available on February 27th. This will give everyone a chance to get a sneak peek at Kiryu’s newest adventure with the added perk of an importable save.
Here is the statement from the dev team:
“Yakuza 6: The Song of Life’s release is being moved back a month to April 17th. This was a tough business decision we didn’t make lightly. But — with bad news, we also have some good — this gives us more time to line things up for launch, and on February 27, the demo for Yakuza 6 will be available and will allow players to bring their save into the game on release. This will be the first time everyone will have a chance to play the game (a moment we have long been anticipating!) and we can’t wait to hear what you think about it. We have many new plans to reveal over the coming weeks to give you all more insight into the series, so stay tuned!”
