Currently Only Available for Xbox One Alpha Testers
A new Xbox One update has begun rolling out to alpha testers today that bring about a whack ton of new features.
Alpha testers, or Xbox Insiders as they’re called, will be able to check out the “Next Achievements” feature. It’s accessible from the Guide and is a cross-games list of upcoming Achievements. You’ll get a quick look at the Achievements you are close to getting across all of your games and can even instantly launch them. Filters can be sorted to see most common, rarest, most common rare, and highest Gamerscore too.
Mini Game Hubs are being added which is basically a condensed version of the standard Game Hubs feature. It will show you need-to-know information without leaving your game such as online friends, upcoming Achievements, Looking for Group requests, and more.
Possibly the biggest announcement is a Do Not Disturb feature which will tell your friends not to bother you while also suppressing all notifications. This is a handy feature for those that don’t want interruptions while focusing on their game.
Microsoft is also tweaking the community feed and adding more shut down options for the console including two, three, four, and five-hour increments.
If you’re in the alpha ring, why not test it out for us and leave a comment below.
