Building Weapons, Rescuing Survivors and Killing Crystal Zombies
It’s about time to see the result of what Konami has been working on all this time. Though we won’t see the Kojima name in anything new, we still see Metal Gear. Regardless of what you think about that, the company is a cog that will continue to grind out new games. Thus, here comes Metal Gear Survive.
Metal Gear Survive, as everyone must know at this point, is a spin-off title to Metal Gear Solid V. The remnants of old Motherbase have crossed into another dimension and are now fighting off zombies. This is very much a survival/sandbox game, and the gameplay is easily akin to its predecessor. But there are some twists and turns, as well as plenty of add-ons. The game seems to be pretty action heavy, with reliance on scavenging and rescuing Motherbase survivors for rewards. Furthermore, there seems to be an actual story.
In this iteration, players explore another open world and gain access to a myriad of loadouts based on what they find. Not only that, but there seems to be an element of Tower Defense. Whatever you think of all the new nuances of this Metal Gear game, there’s no denying that it looks good in the Fox Engine. See for yourself below. This is Metal Gear Survive, courtesy of IGN:
