Are We Getting a Sequel?
For a long time now, the director of the Devil May Cry series and Dragon’s Dogma, Hideaki Itsuno, has been teasing his latest project. While he seems extremely excited to talk about it, he doesn’t talk about it. But being the tease that he is, he took to Twitter to update fans on the project’s progress. Whether it’s a new DmC, a new Dragon’s Dogma, or a new IP, it looks like things are going well.
Below, you’ll find the entire dev team at leisure. No one is stressed out; therefore, Itsuno must be telling the truth on the progress of their game. Now, assuming google translate is not being terrible, we can expect news soon. Perhaps a major reveal that will finally tell us the nature of the project.

Prior, to giving us the image above, Itsuno sent this other January tweet.

Naturally, fan whispers point to the development of Devil May Cry 5. While nothing is official until it’s official, Itsuno is fond of the franchise and some time has passed since the last installment. Moreover, the last installment was something of a soft and controversial reboot by developer Ninja Theory. Or, maybe his next game is not part of Dante’s Hack n’ Slash legacy; maybe it will be the sequel to Dragon’s Dogma that fans have been so craving. Time will tell. But while we wait, we can look forward to the Devil May Cry HD Collection that’s arriving for the PS4, which includes Devil May Cry 1, 2, and 3 remastered.
Comment below your speculation on the next game from Hideaki Itsuno, then be sure to check back for updates when it’s revealed.
Happy gaming.
