More Good News for Assassin’s Creed Origins Fans
Assassin’s Creed Origins is the game that keeps on giving because a highly requested feature from fans is finally coming true. According to a post on the series’ subreddit, Ubisoft’s community manager — who goes by the name domvgt on Reddit — has confirmed that a New Game + mode will be coming to Assassin’s Creed Origins in the near future.
The post reads: “New Game + is coming. We’ll have more information to share soon.” This was in response to a fan who, yep, was asking if news of a New Game + mode was in the works. Now that we have confirmation, Assassin’s Creed Origins fans — who have been asking for this ever since the game launched on October 27th — should be able to sleep a bit better at night.
New Game +, for those that aren’t aware, is the ability to start the game over with all of your original playthrough’s weapons, items, outfits, abilities, etc. without having to earn them again. Due to Origins’ emphasis on loot and RPG elements, a New Game + mode would make for a perfect fit. Other RPGs, like Final Fantasy XV, have benefitted as well by adding a New Game + mode for players to take part in.
Ubisoft is set to add the anticipated Discovery Tour mode into Assassin’s Creed Origins some time in earl 2018. It will be an educational mode that will allow players to explore Ancient Egypt and learn about its history without worrying about enemies.
