Star Wars Battlefront II Will Get More Single-Player Story in December

More Challenges, Events, and Free DLC Incoming

With the debut of Star Wars Battlefront II gameplay came the announcement that players would enjoy free content post-launch. Some of that content has already been announced before the game’s even released.

Star Wars Battlefront 2

According to a press release, new Star Wars Battlefront 2 DLC will arrive on December 5th. The content and events will be related to The Last Jedi, Disney’s next feature film in the franchise. And just as promised, it will come at no extra cost.

Players begin by choosing a faction, either First Order of The Resistance; from there, your participation in challenges will contribute to your faction’s points and earn you special rewards. Then, on the week of December 13th, heroes Finn and Captain Phasma will be available for purchase with in-game credits. Members of the winning faction that week will earn special crates filled with high-power upgrades for either hero. I must assume the rewards depend on which faction you choose.

There’s more, however. On the same day Finn and Captain Phasma arrive, players shall witness the arrival of two new maps – Crait: A Galactica Assault Map and D’Qar: a Starfighter Assault map. So, too, will players gain access to two hero ships, Tallie Lintra’s RZ-2 A-wing and Poe Dameron’s T-70 X-wing.

But the most interesting Star Wars Battlefront II content is coming in the form of a new single-player story chapter called “Resurrection.” Iden Versio returns for a new mission detailing her rise with The First Order. Catch this and everything else on December 13th. To learn more, you can visit the game’s blog.

Star Wars Battlefront II hits retail on November 17 and will be available as part of EA’s Early Access. Check back for any last-minute updates.

Happy gaming.
