You Can Play As Final Fantasy XV’s Noctis in Tekken 7 Next Year

Hammerhead Garage Stage Also Being Added

In a surprise announcement during the Tekken World Tour Finals, Final Fantasy XV’s lead protagonist, Noctis Lucis Caelum, will enter the Tekken 7 fighting ring in Spring 2018.

Bandai Namco made the announcement with a four-minute trailer (seen above) that shows off Noctis’ fighting abilities. Compared to the rest of the fighting roster, Noctis looks to play a bit differently. He’s equipped with his trusty Engine Blade which appears to allow for more juggling moves. Also, it looks like his quick teleport dash will be part of his move set.

A new stage is also being added to Tekken 7: the Hammerhead Garage, one of Final Fantasy XV’s most memorable locations and where car mechanic Cindy resides.

Noctis isn’t the only character announced this year to be heading to Tekken 7. Geese Howard, the legendary villain in SNK’s Fatal Fury series, is set to be released as DLC sometime before the year is up.

Tekken 7

Here’s what we had to say about Tekken 7 in our original review:

“Tekken 7 is a worthy fighting game that anyone can pick up and play, but also further perfect on a highly technical level. With such a diverse cast, rewarding fighting mechanics, and tons of customization to spend countless hours on, Tekken 7 is a must-have for anyone craving a new fighting game to add to their collection.”

Noctis will be released as DLC on PS4 and Xbox One in Spring 2018.
