Call of Duty: WWII Takes the Number One Spot on the PS4 Download Chart in Japan
The most recent installment of Call of Duty: WWII has been killing it in the sales department! Last week we told you that WWII had a fantastic opening weekend, pulling in $500 million in sales. Now, Sony Interactive Entertainment has published the weekly Japanese download chart for the PlayStation 4 between October 30th and November 5th, showing off Sledgehammer’s creation in the top spot.
Call of Duty: WWII launched on November 3rd, and still managed to dominate the market in Japan, taking the top spot just two days after release! The newest Call of Duty title beat out the likes of ARK: Survival Evolved and Assassin’s Creed Origins, proving once again that gamers in Japan have an affinity for western first-person shooters.

In addition to the more than stellar debut on this downloads chart, and sales worldwide, Call of Duty: WWII also topped the Media Create Charts in Japan, knocking Super Mario Odyssey out of first place. While this already marks the true return of the Call of Duty series, this chart also confirms that Call of Duty: WWII beat both Infinite Warfare and Black Ops III in debut sales.
