Return to the Land of the ‘Look’ Command This Halloween
Let’s all take a moment to remember the classic adventure days of yore. The command lists, the simple graphics, the delightful writing. Abstraction Games is compiling a collection of thrilling/scary adventure titles just in time for Halloween. 8 Bit Adventure Anthology (Volume One) is coming to PC later this month!
In the first volume of the anthology is Uninvited, Déjà Vu and Shadowgate. With these three games, you get a pleasant blend of the scary, the exciting and the surreal. Perhaps this isn’t a source of nostalgia for you, personally. Maybe you weren’t gaming age, or even alive, when these titles came out way back in 1987. Then, consider this collection an opportunity to brush up on the roots of the adventure genre.
8 Bit Adventure Anthology (Volume One) will be coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on October 31st, the spookiest holiday of all. If this looks like something you can get into, take heart! That ‘volume one’ tagged onto the end means we’ll be getting even more classic titles in the near future. Maybe some less spooky, more ‘sweeping epic’ entries in the catalogue?
