For those of you unfamiliar with the Fallout series’ beginnings, the first game is a very different animal than the most recent entry. OG Fallout is pure CRPG goodness, from the combat system to the isometric perspective. In spite of this, the aesthetic is still utterly Fallout. This is a Steam-only deal, so GOG and Humble Bundle are a no go.
If you’ve never dived into this game, now’s a great time. Especially if you’re looking for a Fallout fix while waiting for the next release from the series. Although presently, all we’re waiting for is Fallout 4 VR. This should be a pretty incredible experience, assuming you own an HTC Vive. Plus it will be a great testing bed for determining how adept Bethesda is at VR-tuning their existing properties. We are still waiting for that DOOM project, as well.
