Scorpio Dev Kit Looks Pretty Sexy Depending on Your Thoughts on OLEDs
A new video has surfaced, giving us a good look at the Project Scorpio dev kit. All things considered, it’s pretty slick for a prototype box.
As this is merely a developer system we’re looking at, it’s hard to draw too many conclusions from the appearance. For example, it’s unlikely that the final product will have that curious little screen on the front tracking the FPS. Although, that would be an interesting feature for the performance perfection crowd Microsoft tends to attract. Imagine the convenience this would add to sessions bragging about the potency of one system over another. You could just point to the screen for proof!
On the other hand, the whole box somewhat resembles a VCR when you take that tiny window into account. No one wants a VCR in their living room anymore. Either way, the video is a sign of things humming along quite nicely for Project Scorpio. Developers getting kits means we’re inching ever closer to the day this behemoth of a system is in people’s living rooms, blowing them away with it’s badass power levels. Check out the video below for a good look at the kit in question. It probably doesn’t look like a VCR after all.
