Everything about the Old Maps Made Better in Zombie Chronicles
In a blog post today, Treyarch and Activision revealed all the details for their new Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombie Chronicles DLC. Nearly 10 years of zombie multiplayer will be re-released on May 16th. As such, here are new pricing and pre-order details.
Basically, everything about the original maps will be revamped: updated visuals, better character models, and weapons from Black Ops III. This also includes updated AI and audio, leaving no part of the experience without a current generation edge.
As of today, PlayStation 4 players can pre-order the new DLC content. It will include 20 vials of Liquid Divinium, two new GobbleGums, and the exclusive Zombies Pack-A-Punch weapon camo. Additionally, pre-order players get the new Zombie Chronicles Dynamic Theme.
Then, come release time, Activision and Treyarch will let players celebrate via the “8 Days of the Undead” event. That’s eight days of double XP, new weapon camo rewards, Zombies calling cards, Gobblegums, and PS4 themes.
And to recap, here are the maps that come with Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombie Chronicles:
Call of Duty: World at War
- Nacht der Untoten – Where it all began: an abandoned airfield suspended in space and plagued by infinite hordes of the undead.
- Verruckt – Welcome to Wittenau Sanitorium, a German asylum with dark corridors, terrifying undead enemies, and even darker secrets.
- Shi No Numa – A “swamp of death” located in Japanese territory, surrounded by a sweltering jungle, hellhounds, and endless armies of the undead.
Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Kino der Untoten – An abandoned cinema packed with swarms of Crawler Zombies and fiery traps.
- Ascension – An abandoned Soviet Cosmodrome where unholy creations lurk in the shadows, and dark undead experiments run loose.
- Shangri-la – A legendary shrine lost in an exotic jungle where the undead emerge from within a treacherous labyrinth of underground caverns, deadly traps, and dark secrets.
- Moon – Travel to the Moon where forgotten undead creatures plague a horrifying, cratered landscape
Call of Duty: Black Ops II
- Origins – An excavation site left behind after the Germans unearthed the mysterious new “Element 115,” and unleashed the greatest evil the world has ever seen.
Obtain everything on May 16 for the price of $29.99. DLC can only be purchased separately and is not part of the Season Pass; requires Call of Duty: Black Ops III base game to play. We suspect Xbox One and PC players will have access to the new content 30 days after the PS4 release, per Activision’s deal with Sony.
