The Pico Goblin Headset Makes Moves as the next New Virtual Reality Headset, Find It on the Show Floor of E3 2017
E3 2017 attendees will get the first look at the Pico Goblin headset, the third stand-alone VR headset from Pico Interactive, Inc. The mobile-based head mounted display that’s currently in production takes advantage of an entire three-degrees-of-freedom, enabling a wide range of motion, and runs off of a beastly set of components.
The Pico Goblin runs off of Android Nougat and comes packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. Coupled with two high-res, 70Hz VR displays that support a combined resolution of 2.5K, the lightweight and powerful design of the Pico Goblin is sure to bring a well-needed boost to the mobile HMD scene for gaming titles, 360 video, and immersive, interactive CGI experiences.
Ennin Huang, Vice President of Design at Pico Interactive, Inc. claims – “We created the Pico Goblin to liberate people from clunky VR technology. There’s no complex technical set-ups, attached wires or need for a Phone. As a consumer first company, we want to make the barriers to entry for completely stand alone VR headsets as low as possible, while offering flexible options for users. The Pico Goblin will do just that, and at an affordable price.”
Demos for the Pico Goblin VR set will he happening at this years Electronic Entertainment Expo, from June 13th through the 15th, so if you want to get your hands on the Pico Goblin first, E3 is the place to do it.
