Halo 6 Will Not Be Announced at This Year’s E3, Developer Confirms

Microsoft Must Deliver without Their Flagship Franchise

As we enter the Summer, we must prepare ourselves for a season without Halo. It is thanks to dream crusher Brian Jarrard, Community Manager at 343 Industries, that we know Halo 6 will not be announced E3 2017. He did, however, say there would be “a little something,” and this is rumored to be for Halo Wars 2.

Halo 6

Here are Jarrad’s exact words as posted on Reddit:

“I’ll slip into my Dreamcrusher persona for a minute in the name of realistic expectations: We’ve said this already but we’ll have a little something at E3 but it’s not related to the next major entry in the franchise.”

Of course, fans looked for hope where they could get it. So, someone asked if there might be something Halo 6-related at Gamescom. Again, Jarrard has to be the bad guy and say “definitely not.”

Whether or not the game was meant to release this year, fans were at least hoping for a teaser. Now we know we’re getting nothing for the next main Halo installment.

And talking about what we do know, 343i mentioned that Halo 6 would refocus on Master Chief. We learned this from franchise director Frank O’Connor, who spoke on the matter earlier this month. Perhaps fan complaints set developers off their intended direction for the franchise; hence, why more time may be needed.

Since the Halo franchise is one of the pillars of Xbox One, fans will have to rely on whatever comes next at E3. Hopefully, new games can temporarily fill the space ring-sized hole filling our hearts.

But, what are your thoughts? Comment down below and let us know whether your hopes have been crushed this day. Then be sure to check back for some heartwarming updates as they come our way.

Happy gaming.
