Imagine If War’s Horror Manifested into Monsters – You Get Ad Infinitum
Horror is something that can easily affect us with subtlety. That is, more or less, what this new game title pulls off in its official reveal trailer. Here’s a glimpse of the fresh horror game set in trenches of World War I. Behold Ad Infinitum:
Developed by StrixLab, Ad Infinitum makes good use of Unreal Engine 4 to surround players with a macabre environment. Very few devs utilize and old war setting for horror unless it involves zombies. But, this idea of reappearing monsters in World War I almost seems Lovecraftian. Their ominous, unpredictable presence hits home with its effective use of the first-person perspective.
Anyone familiar with the Great War already knows some of the terror a battlefield can inspire. With a little touch of supernatural, that dark atmosphere is intensified. Read more from the official website:
“You find yourself in the trenches of a forlorn battlefield where vicious creatures lurk in the shadows. Solve challenging puzzles to clear pathways and avoid deadly traps and sneak through a maze of trenches to hide from the manifested horrors of war.”
Currently, there’s not release date for Ad Infinitum, and we don’t yet know which platform the game will release on. But you can be sure we’ll deliver updates as StrixLab’s IP hits its stride. In the meantime, comment your thoughts on the reveal. Are you looking forward to a horror game set in World War I? Let us know.
Happy gaming.
