The Overwatch Uprising Seasonal Event Goes Live – Along With It, Blizzard Releases Three Videos Which Cover Event Details and Backstory
The Overwatch Uprising Seasonal Event is now live for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC! Along with a new multiplayer co-op brawl, entitled ‘Uprising‘ and over 100 new cosmetic items including new skins, emotes, highlight intros, and sprays, Blizzard gave us three tasty new videos that give players an inside look at event details, loot boxes, and backstory, all in a beautifully wrapped, animated cinematic experience.
In the videos below, you can watch the event trailer for Overwatch Uprising, the backstory video, and the Developer diary respectively. Uprising highlights a new way to play in an event where Tracer and her fellow Overwatch heroes battle Omnic Null Sector waves in a modified version of King’s Row. Players can jump in on the action in two ways, you can either play from the select team of heroes, which includes Tracer, Reinhardt, Mercy, or Torbjörn, or choose to play from Overwatch’s entire 24-character roster in a second mode.
From now until May 1st, players across all platforms can jump into the festivities. After that, the event will be over and you’ll have to wait until the next time around to grab those sweet, sweet loot boxes.
