Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Devs Don’t Want to ‘Dilute’ the Singleplayer Experience
The third installment in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series has had some problems, primarily with delays. Originally slated for release in the middle of last year, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 was pushed back multiple times. Now that the game has finally come out, players have been hit with another delay-related announcement.
According to CI Games, the multiplayer portion will not be available until the third quarter of 2017. Providing “the best possible single player experience” has been the company’s primary focus since the beginning. To this end, CI Games won’t be releasing the multiplayer and single player portions together, so as not to “dilute any potential from the single player experience.”
This dedication to the quality of the single player is admirable, and it shows in the finished product currently available. CI Games has also promised regular updates in the coming months, on top of the aforementioned multiplayer coming in the fall. The update in question will be free of charge, meaning that players will require nothing but patience to acquire this mode of play when it’s eventually released. What do you think? Is it worth it to push back the multiplayer in order to polish the single player? These are community-focused times, after all. Many big games live or die on the strength of their multiplayer options. Let us know your thoughts on this decision in the comments below.
