Leaked Ad Describes New Co-op Mode Making a Debut With New Call of Duty Title
A lot has been revealed in the last week about Call of Duty: WWII. With Activision finally making official announcements, much of the guesswork has been removed from the process. There are still tidbits left to suss out, however. A leaked ad popped up that describes a new gameplay mode for the latest entry in the Call of Duty franchise.
The new co-operative section is given little in the way of detail, but the ad describes “a new and original story” exclusive to the new mode. The section is further described as a “standalone game” with all the Call of Duty trappings gamers know and love. Unfortunately nothing else is revealed in the ad relating to this co-operative feature. These few details are still hopeful ones, as previous co-op efforts in the series were markedly more limited.
Other details given in the ad refer to the setting in more detail for both the singleplayer and the multiplayer modes. The singlepayer campaign will focus on  (or at least start at) Normandy Beach. Given that this is a game set in World War II, this isn’t exactly a huge surprise. The multiplayer campaign will feature a host of other historic sites from the second world war. All of this is idle speculation until the next livestream reveal on Wednesday, April 26. Call of Duty: WWII is set (as far as the rumours are concerned) for release on November 3rd, 2017.
