Limited Edition Dragon Quest XI PS4 Will Be out in Japan Alongside Newest Game in July
To celebrate the release of the newest Dragon Quest game, Sony is releasing a limited edition Dragon Quest XI PS4 alongside the game on July 29th, 2017. Officially dubbed the “Dragon Quest Loto Edition” PS4, the system comes with a couple delightful bonuses. Take a look!
Aside from the sexy setup pictured above, the bundle also comes with a hard copy of the game and a ‘metal slime’ USB cover. The whole shebang is encased in a fancy gold and blue box, because Dragon Quest is serious business in Japan. The Loto Edition (named after the legendary hero from the first game) will set collectors back by a cool 39,980 yen. The hard drive will be 1TB, the new standard for PS4 systems going forward. The bundle also comes with download codes for pre-order bonuses as well as a PS4 theme.
Like all the greatest Dragon Quest loot in the land, this one is unlikely to see an international release. Fans worldwide may love the series, but not nearly to the extent that Japanese players do. Much like the previous entry in the series, no international release date has been announced yet for Dragon Quest XI. Although, fingers crossed that the success of titles like Dragon Quest Builders and Heroes 2 will spur Square Enix to change that.
