Overwatch Hero Gallery Speedrun Times Are Insane, Good Luck Beating This Record

Thereโ€™s a New Way to Achieve Fame in Blizzardโ€™s Online First-Person Shooter Game. Itโ€™s Called the Overwatch Hero Gallery Speedrun and These Times Are Literally Insane.

Aside from the fastest completion of the tutorial mode in Overwatch, speedfreaks have found yet another way to hold a title for an Overwatch speedrun, and itโ€™s probably the most ridiculous speedrun challenge Iโ€™ve ever seen. For being as silly as it is, the Overwatch Hero Gallery Speedrun is cutthroat, quick, and is certainly no easy feat to accomplish. You donโ€™t even need to jump into a game to try it out for yourself.

How do you take on the Overwatch Hero Gallery speedrun challenge? Well, just jump on over to your Hero Gallery and try to drag your mouse pointer along the open, horizontal line separating the characters, and donโ€™t highlight a single one. Yeah. Thatโ€™s really it. And since the challenge started, the records have been perpetually shattered, and the top speed now stands at 53 milliseconds.

Hereโ€™s the original any% speedrun that was offered on Reddit that was timed at  32.12 seconds:

Then the next challenger rolled along at 10.64 seconds:

The challenge became tooth and nail at 4.86 seconds:

And finally we were completely blown away with an Earth-shattering speedrun time to end all speedrun times at 53 milliseconds:

This thread on Reddit is a pure gold mine of record-shattering Hero Gallery speedruns, and officials are debating if this speedrun was 100% legitimate or a TSA (tool assisted) speedrun. In even more recent reports, the time was actually clocked at 530 milliseconds, not the reported 53, but this could just be a genuine error on the record-holderโ€™s part. If itโ€™s legit, it seems like theyโ€™re going to be holding that record for quite some time.
